GypsyOwl is publishing at Squidoo

I am writing for Squidoo and have a few articles submitted. The term for article is 'lens' and I am learning a lot about online publishing! Please read on for links to my new work.

I do not know how to say
THANK YOU
enough!
Thank you all for your encouragement and nurturing of my artistic side over the past three years. It has been the inspiration of EVERYONE that allowed me to 'grow up' in my creativity.

A Very Special Thank You to SARK ,
SARK friends, Family, Co-Workers,
and honestly if you are reading this then this Thank You is for YOU.

How this came about: (the short version)
I attended a seminar last weekend about butterfly gardens. The experience of learning how to create a butterfly garden was such a spiritual journey, I simply did not come away with a real butterfly garden plan idea. My focus was on the life cycles of butterflies and how that relates to my spiritual journey. However, I was inspired to write and I submitted to Squidoo. Now I have a handful of lenses published! When you visit, please leave a note for me in the quest books that are on each page, and, if you have a moment to give me your STAR rating that would be wonderful.

Create A Butterfly Garden
You can visit this lens at

Since I didn't remember the actual 'how to create' the garden, I linked to some very good articles about it by other writers who I admire. My spiritual interpretations were leading me and inspiring me.

"Going With The Flow vs. Be In Your Flow"
and you can visit this lens at

I finished the last edit todayBoth of the articles are already receiving very good responses and lots of traffic. I am a bit overwhelmed but, very delighted!

I believe I have learned what I want to do when I grow up.
What do you think? If you really like it, would you please link to it from your blog or other places that you post ?
Please pass this on to anyone who you feel would welcome the invitation to visit my 'lens' pages.

Catching up about me:
I realize I haven't kept in touch - so here is a short blurb about what I have been up to.

I am going to be writing for Squidoo twice a week (on average). I am continuing my education which is my full time occupation until I am finished (BBA Degree -Graduation planned for January 2010), have a part time position -on/call ( office management - internship), and am enjoying creating artwork for my online gift shops. I also volunteer for the SBN a few hours a week. I believe that everything I am doing has prepared me for this monumental new opportunity. I cannot express how 'fun' it is to write, and then to have people 'like' it is the icing on the cake. I finally had the courage to move forward.

How are you? I'd love to hear from you!

My New Favorite Movie

The Lake House
~"This would be a great Valentine's Day Movie to watch together"~GypsyOwl
Actors: Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Christopher Plummer, Ebon Moss-Bachrach
Directors: Alejandro Agresti

Amazon.com Review by Bret Fetzer

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock pair up again in what could be described as the anti-Speed: The Lake House, a sweet, relaxed-paced, whimsical romance. When Alex Wyler (Reeves, The Matrix) moves into an unusual glass house on stilts over a lake, he discovers a note from the previous tenant in the mailbox--but no one's lived in the house for years. He replies and soon discovers that he's corresponding with a doctor named Kate Forster (Bullock, Miss Congeniality) who's writing from two years in the future. Their correspondence turns romantic and their paths cross in unexpected ways, but when they try to truly connect, danger looms. Though the plot of The Lake House sounds potentially static, the movie is skillfully structured and, despite some truly awful dialogue, will exert an emotional pull on anyone willing to embrace the device of the time-travelling mailbox. What the movie really demonstrates, though, is the genuine rapport between Bullock and Reeves; Reeves, though handsome, has a wooden presence--but in his few scenes with Bullock, his stiffness transforms into a palpable yearning. On-screen chemistry is slippery and hard to define, but these two have it. --Bret Fetzer

Product Description: The Lake House on DVD

A lonely doctor (Sandra Bullock) who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its newest resident, a frustrated architect (Keanu Reeves). When they discover that they're actually living two years apart, they must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it's too late.

My Gratitude List

Being Grateful
Being Thankful
These are year round goals of mine.

Today I am grateful for:
Family & Friends
My puppy pet friends
The Sunrise
The sound of birds singing
Warmer weather
Delicious Coffee
The aroma of evergreens
Art
The beautiful Poincettia on my table
The glitter of decorations made for me by dear friends hanging in the window catching the light as it comes over the trees outside.
Music in the distance from a house down the street.
The sound a schoolbus makes just before you hear children giggling and laughing before they climb on.
The warmth of a blanket
The softness of a comfy couch to snuggle up on.
A good book
The relaxing flow of a warm shower
The scent of flannel pajamas
popcorn (yes for breakfast on occasion... LOL)
I am grateful for being content and aware of the blessings in my life.
I am delighted to experience a new day, to discover some new and exciting part of life to be grateful for.

  • Melodie Beattie said:
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
  • It turns what we have into enough, and more.
  • It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity....
  • It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events.
  • Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow."
What are you Grateful for?

Living IN JOY,
GypsyOwl
